Ahhh … the feeling of freshly manicured nails, such bliss! But hey, you don’t have to go to the professional because we asked our expert, Angela Mari, on how to get that perfect manicure at home.

1. Buff and file
Create a shape you like and buff the nail, so it is a smooth canvas for the following steps.
The Stylfile set is great little kit for getting your nails into shape and includes an s-shape file and buffer.

2. Clean nails & remove dirt/oil
Make sure you remove any dirt or oil with a remover-drenched cotton pad before applying the base coat. If you skip this step, your nail polish might just peel right off. We don’t want that, do we?

3. Apply base coat
You don’t really need a thick coat, which will only slow down the drying process, a thin coat is totally sufficient. Try the OPI Natural Nail Base Coat – it will extend the life of your nail polish and prevent natural nails from staining.

4. Paint your nails with colour of choice
Now comes the fun part! Choose a colour you like and apply 2 coats, whilst always sealing the edge of the nail – to ensure super long lasting power. We love the nudes that have been used on our latest MINMAX shoot which is coming soon. How about you?

5. Use a quick-drying top coat
To finish it up just apply a quick-drying top coat and you are good to go. Our amazing nail technician, Angela Mari, recommends the Seche Vite top coat, which dries in a matter of seconds and leaves the nails shiny and glossy.
