Want to achieve Suki Waterhouse’s Oscar look?

Mary Wiles, our trusted and loved make-up artist of the “My Beautiful Selfie” and “Flower Bomb” stories, travelled to Los Angeles to help make the stars shine and sparkle – no, not the stars in the sky, but the ones on the 87th Oscars red carpet of course!

In cooperation with Burberry she created a modern and effortlessly elegant look for Suki Waterhouse – model, actress and current crush of Bradley Cooper. Want to know how? Here is Mary’s rundown for a Oscar-transformation.

The Base

To create an even and flawless base, apply Fresh Glow Fluid Foundation to the entire face and then lightly pat Sheer Concealer under eyes to even out the skin-tone. For that glamorous, highlighted glow, dab some Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base in Nude Radiance to cheekbones and temples – and voila born is a star of a base!

Next, to create those impressive Suki-cheekbones, dust Light Glow Blush in Peony No.04 onto apples of cheeks for a soft pink glow and sculpt hollows of cheeks with Light Glow Blush in Earthy No.07 for contour.

Last step is to set everything in place by applying Nude Powder all over the t-zone to minimise shine and under the eyes to set the concealer.

The Eyes

The emphasis of Suki’s look was on the eyes – elongating her eyes with a flick and a little definition, Mary applied the Eye Colour Wet & Dry Silk Shadow in Rosewood No.202 over entire lids as a base and blended it into outer the corners for added depth with the same shadow in Dusty Mauve No.203.

To make lashes appear thicker and fuller – draw Effortless Liquid Eyeliner in Jet Black No.01 along the top lashes, extending slightly up and out for an enhanced cat-eye look. Then soften the liquid line with Effortless Kohl Eyeliner in Pale Grape No.04. create a smoky eye.
To finish the eyes, apply some Bold Lash Mascara in Ebony No.01 onto top and bottom lashes for that full lash effect.

Lastly Mary shaped the brows with the Effortless Eyebrow Definer to create the perfect frame for Suki’s eyes.

The Lips

Mary finished off with a natural but defined lip in pink that had the same tone as the gorgeous Burberry dress. Fill and define the lips with Lip Definer in Rosewood No.07 and then gently pat Burberry Kisses in Tulip Pink No.09 onto lips for a luminous pink lip look.
The Burberry Kisses line of build-able sheer to high coverage lipsticks are going to be available from March 3rd 2015 – so keep your eyes peeled for these beautiful, luminous and customisable Kisses from Burberry.

Thank you Mary!
